BTI Wireless Launches Innovative Solutions for MNOs at MWC 2025, Elevating Wi-Fi Connectivity

At the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 held in Barcelona, BTI Wireless captured attention with the introduction of its advanced Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and Private Mobile Network solutions. This launch signals a pivotal move towards enhancing connectivity, especially as mobile network operators (MNOs) adapt to the growing demands of the 5G+ era.

The industry's dynamic landscape is prompting a shift in business models as MNOs transfer the financial responsibility of in-building coverage systems to venue owners. In response, BTI Wireless is rolling out hybrid solutions that not only feature a venue-funded DAS but also provide independent Private Network capabilities using their innovative CrossFire™ platform. This flexibility enables venues to rapidly deploy high-capacity systems while simultaneously improving return on investment for enterprises by moving critical applications from traditional Wi-Fi to a more secure, robust mobile network.

Ron Poulin, the VP of Sales for North America at BTI Wireless, emphasized the increased value these enhancements bring. “We have always been at the forefront of digital DAS, providing multi-band solutions for key global venues. These updates are designed to optimize operational performance and minimize pressure on MNOs,” he said. A noteworthy addition to the CrossFire platform is its native off-air BDA signal capture capability. This upgrade not only facilitates immediate utilization of DAS but also alleviates the need for MNOs to allocate dedicated capacity.

At MWC 2025, BTI also unveiled a new lineup of base stations, which include high-performance distributed base stations driven by FlexRAN technology and integrated base stations featuring the latest chipsets. These base stations will significantly enhance multi-band Carrier Aggregation (CA) to deliver faster data speeds while expanding coverage options suitable for various 5G deployment scenarios.

Amidst the buzz around MWC, AI-driven Radio Access Networks (AI-RAN) emerged as a hot topic, showcasing significant strides and extensive development potential in the telecommunications market. Positioned as a crucial technology for the upcoming 5G Advanced (5G-A) and 6G networks, AI-RAN is expected to serve various promising applications, including autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, telemedicine, and smart home environments. Ron underscored the importance of this technology by stating, “AI-RAN is integral to our strategic vision, and our engineering team is actively working to implement these advancements in our next generation of products.”

BTI Wireless continues to lead the charge in transforming wireless coverage solutions, demonstrating a clear commitment to not only meeting but exceeding the expectations of enterprises and MNOs alike. With their innovative mindset and the latest technologies, they are shaping the future of connectivity, ensuring robust and efficient systems that can sustain the demands of a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
