Partnership to Pioneer AI-Driven Materials Innovation in Singapore

In an impressive move towards advancing materials research and manufacturing, ATLANT 3D has announced a collaboration with the ASTAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (ASTAR IMRE) and the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) in Singapore. This partnership has been formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which aims to establish an Advanced Materials Development Hub, known as A-HUB in Singapore. The initiative is aimed at merging ATLANT 3D's cutting-edge Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP®) technology with the extensive materials expertise of ASTAR IMRE and the innovative ecosystem development capabilities of NAMIC. According to Dr. Maksym Plakhotnyuk, CEO and Founder of ATLANT 3D, this partnership stands to position Singapore as a pioneer in the global landscape of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. "Singapore is a global front-runner in the industrial-scale adoption of advanced materials and next-gen manufacturing technologies. By combining ATLANT 3D's DALP® technology with ASTAR IMRE's materials expertise and NAMIC’s innovation ecosystem, we will create the world's first high-throughput materials innovation foundry for advanced applications in semiconductors, silicon photonics, and advanced packaging technologies," he stated. The primary goal of A-HUB Singapore is to facilitate high-throughput materials synthesis and foster autonomous materials discovery while accelerating the development of new technologies. This includes collaborating on innovative projects with industry partners, thereby boosting Singapore's advanced manufacturing infrastructure and materials innovation ecosystem. Prof. Loh Xian Jun, Executive Director of A*STAR IMRE, added, "Through this collaboration with ATLANT 3D, we are incorporating leading-edge atomic layer processing capabilities into our materials development workflow. This will significantly speed up the discovery and optimization of functional thin film materials." As the landscape of materials science evolves, Dr. Ho Chaw Sing, Chief Executive Officer of NAMIC, emphasized the collaborative vision of this hub: "The next frontier for humanity will require breakthroughs in materials with superior properties enabled by digital closed-loop additive processes. A-HUB envisions to be a platform that unites research, industry, and ecosystem partners to accelerate the transition of super-materials from lab to factory floor, thus reinforcing Singapore's role as a global hub in next-generation materials and advanced manufacturing." This revolutionary initiative not only showcases the synergy between research and industry but also highlights Singapore's commitment to advancing its capabilities in materials innovation and manufacturing. The collaboration marks a significant evolution for both ATLANT 3D and its partners, paving the way for new possibilities within the realm of materials engineering and development. As this project unfolds, the global manufacturing landscape can anticipate substantial advancements that may emerge from this collaboration, which seeks to pioneer future innovations that could transform industries reliant on advanced materials. Stakeholders and interested parties are encouraged to follow the updates of this initiative as it progresses, promising to bring forth a new era of materials science and technology that can benefit various industries, including semiconductors and packaging solutions suited for the demands of tomorrow's technologies.
