Celebrating a Decade of Empowerment: Aura Cacia’s Positive Change Project

This milestone is marked by announcing $200,000 in grant funding supporting various nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of women and girls across the United States and Canada.

Launched in 2016, the Positive Change Project aims to address and support the challenges faced by women and girls, facilitating the journey toward economic stability, safety, and self-sufficiency. Over the past decade, Aura Cacia has invested more than $1.5 million into 29 organizations, assisting many courageous individuals who strive to improve their circumstances despite overwhelming challenges.

The focus of this initiative is to uplift organizations that amplify women's voices, support their well-being, and encourage them to seek opportunities in their communities. Located in northwest Atlanta, this organization provides vital academic support and enrichment services to underserved girls. Helping girls build their skills and confidence, Agape focuses on improving graduation rates and guiding young women toward successful futures.

2. Calvary Women’s Services

Based in Washington, D.C., Calvary assists women experiencing homelessness through transitional housing and education. They offer personalized case management to promote stability, helping over 250 women each year achieve financial independence and a stable home.

3. Mosaic Georgia

This organization addresses the needs of survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. With trauma-informed services and legal support, Mosaic provides crucial resources to help over 3,200 individuals regain their confidence and stability each year.

4. Pawsperity

With a unique approach, Pawsperity uses a dog grooming school to provide training and life skills to women, particularly those from single-parent households. This program empowers women by teaching them financial literacy and job skills, helping break cycles of poverty and ensuring brighter futures.
