Plant Show 2026 Concludes Successfully

The Plant Show 2026, organized by the Japan Management Association (JMA) under the leadership of President Masami Nakamura, took place from July 15 to 17, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight's East Hall 2. This specialized exhibition aimed to revitalize business within the chemical, petroleum, and energy sectors.

This year, the event comprised five major exhibitions: the 36th Plant Show, the 5th Explosion and Disaster Risk Mitigation Exhibition, the 13th Water Innovation, the 16th Environmental and Energy Measures Exhibition, and the inaugural Plant DX/AI Solutions Exhibition. The exhibition hosted 109 companies across 208 booths, bringing in a total of 7,360 visitors during the three-day event. When accounting for attendees from concurrently held exhibitions, the overall visitor number reached 43,725. These concurrent events included TECHNO-FRONTIER 2026, Maintenance Resilience 2026, the 12th Heat Countermeasure Exhibition, the 13th Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition, the 5th Noise and Vibration Countermeasure Exhibition, and the first Odor Countermeasure Exhibition.

During the exhibition, a wide range of innovative products and services were displayed, focusing on equipment and machinery essential in plants, safety measures in manufacturing processes, environmental enhancement strategies, and cutting-edge DX technologies aimed at promoting efficiency and minimizing workforce needs.

Many attendees expressed their excitement about the event, with comments such as, "The insights gained here will aid in advancing AI and DX deployment within our factories" and "Experiencing new technologies and modern equipment will contribute to future developments and improvements." Such feedback demonstrates the significant interest surrounding the exhibition.

Exhibitors also reported positive experiences, noting that visitors came from various industries, leading to unexpected engagement from sectors they had not anticipated. They mentioned that the audience aligned well with their target demographics, resulting in a lively exchange of ideas and networking opportunities throughout the venue.
