FP Day: An Opportunity for Financial Learning
The first Saturday of November marks the annual
FP Day, an initiative led by the Japan FP Association to promote financial literacy among the public. This year, the event will take place on
November 1st and is part of a series of
free seminars and consultations held nationwide throughout
October and November.
Since its establishment in
1987, FP Day aims to make financial planning accessible for everyone. Certified financial planners (CFP and AFP) will lead seminars and provide personalized consultations, reflecting local characteristics and contemporary social issues. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about personal finance in a supportive environment. Families are encouraged to attend together, and all community members are welcome to join the discussions.
Goals of FP Day
The primary objective of FP Day is to instill a sense of necessity around
financial planning as a fundamental literacy for everyday life. Participants will encounter valuable insights and guidance, directly addressing questions and concerns regarding their financial situations. The event encourages timely discussions about money management and household budgeting, helping participants chart their life plans more effectively.
With an aim to support the community, the
Japan FP Association is focused on expanding its reach through hands-on experiences, such as creating cash flow statements essential for efficient household management. This year’s events will occur in
all 47 prefectures across
50 branches, comprising a total of
52 seminars and consultations scheduled to assist individuals in navigating their financial futures.
