Expert Insights
Dr. Crystal S. Denlinger, the CEO of NCCN, states, “This truly marks the future of cancer treatment advice. Numerous studies have shown that adhering to internationally recognized guidelines significantly improves outcomes for cancer patients. We are proud to have met our ambitious goal of enhancing the accessibility and usability of NCCN guideline content without compromising quality.”
Recent beta testing of the Navigator focused on colorectal and prostate cancers, followed by the rectal cancer guidelines released on June 16, 2025. NCCN plans to continue rolling out the Navigator for additional cancer types until all 88 NCCN guidelines are available in this enhanced format. The original PDF format of the guidelines will remain accessible, allowing users to choose their preferred mode of access.
Ongoing Optimization
In line with its commitment to innovation, NCCN has plans to continuously optimize the Navigator, which includes integrating
artificial intelligence capabilities to make searches more conversational and user-friendly. Additional enhancements will ensure a closer integration with other NCCN resources, providing a comprehensive support system for cancer care.
Over the past 30 years, NCCN guidelines have been utilized by millions globally, including over 90% of surveyed physicians in the U.S. and abroad. As cancer care becomes increasingly sophisticated, the NCCN Guidelines Navigator aims to simplify the navigation of complex data and place actionable insights right at the point of care.
Through this new resource, NCCN continues to support cancer patients and their caregivers by defining quality care and ensuring that effective, equitable, and accessible cancer prevention are available to everyone, thus allowing a better quality of life for all.
