AMPERA is an advanced nuclear reactor company that aims to revolutionize the energy sector with its innovative reactors utilizing thorium. These energy-dense, ultra-safe units will modify the current energy landscape by offering solutions that do not require refueling throughout their operational life.

Leadership Insights

Brian Matthews, the founder and CEO of AMPERA, shared his vision during the opening ceremony. He emphasized the critical intersection of AI growth and power supply limitations, stating, “We are developing a reliable, safe, low-cost solution that can effectively change the energy landscape.” His perspective highlights the urgency of bringing these advanced solutions to market promptly, focusing on an aggressive, solutions-based development timeline.

The company plans to secure NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) licensing for its subcritical, thorium-fueled reactors, signifying a vital step towards their operational phase. In addition, AMPERA has formed a strategic collaboration with Scorpio Tankers to enhance its development capabilities.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

AMPERA's headquarters is located within the Gardens Innovation Center at PGA National Commerce Park. The space spans two buildings that are designed to reach nearly 100,000 square feet, incorporating various functions such as research and development, engineering, proprietary additive manufacturing, and assembly operations.
