Cactus Joins Harvest Yard with Exciting New Restaurant Opening

Cactus to Debut at The Harvest Yard

As anticipation builds for The Harvest Yard's inaugural openings this summer, it has been announced that Cactus, a beloved name in the Puget Sound area's dining scene, will join the lineup. Cactus is renowned for its distinct culinary offerings inspired by the American Southwest and Mexico, tailored with local Pacific Northwest ingredients. This restaurant, which boasts six locations across the region, has recently received accolades such as the title of Best Mexican Restaurant from King 5's 2025 Best of Western Washington. According to Marc Chatalas, a representative of Cactus, the new location in Woodinville symbolizes an exciting new chapter for the brand. He stated, "We've been part of the Puget Sound dining scene for more than 35 years, and Woodinville feels like the perfect next chapter. The Harvest Yard embraces a community spirit around food and wine that resonates with our vision."

The philosophy at Cactus is encapsulated in their motto: "We're not authentic. We're uniquely Cactus." Their menu not only reflects Mexican flavors but also integrates local freshness, ensuring a unique dining experience. This dedication has seen Cactus recognized multiple times as a Top 10 Restaurant of the Year by the Seattle Times and clinched the Best Mexican Restaurant title from 425 Magazine for over a decade.

Cactus isn't alone in its new venture; it will share The Harvest Yard with Crawlspace Gastropub, another esteemed restaurant. Crawlspace, which has garnered attention as the People's Choice gold medal winner for Best Korean Restaurant in 2025, will be unveiling its second location at The Harvest Yard. Owner Jason Farrish emphasizes a commitment to craft while keeping a down-to-earth ambiance. He remarked, "Crawlspace at Harvest will be intentionally crafted, but with zero pretension. Harvest is poised to be a central hub for food and wine, and we aim to create an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere."

In addition to Cactus and Crawlspace, a variety of fine establishments have made their home at The Harvest Yard, including Dossier Wine Collective, known for its highly-rated selections that have made a mark in Washington's wine industry. Other prominent names include Gard Vintners, Lachini Vineyards, and Sugo Hand Rolled Sushi, among others. The Harvest Yard aims to provide a comprehensive experience, blending culinary delights with a vibrant community atmosphere.

Beyond the restaurants, The Harvest Yard boasts unique attractions such as small-batch bourbon offerings and local artisanal shops like J.P. Trodden and House Balthazar. Residents will enjoy convenient access to this culinary paradise, with options such as River Run, a new townhome development on the Sammamish River trail, which keeps the lifestyle of luxury and leisure within reach.

For visitors, The SOMM Hotel & Spa, part of the Marriott's Autograph Collection, adds further appeal. It features two dining options, with standout dishes created by Executive Chef Maximillian Petty. Bin 47 on the ground floor and The Shed rooftop offer exquisite dining experiences with dramatic views of Mt. Rainier and the Sammamish River Valley.

As the vision behind Harvest continues to unfold, the excitement for the summer openings intensifies. The fusion of fine dining, exquisite wines, and a strong sense of community promise to make The Harvest Yard a standout destination for locals and visitors alike.

With so much to offer, Cactus and Crawlspace's addition is a significant milestone in what promises to be a thriving food and beverage hub in Woodinville, setting a new standard for culinary experiences in the region.
