The Rise of evolve® and Its Groundbreaking Model
In a significant leap for the cycling industry,
evolve®, a standout among emerging Chinese brands, has unveiled its revolutionary road bike frame, the
CIMA. This launch symbolizes not just a step forward in design and technology but also reflects China's ascendance in the global cycling market. The CIMA is engineered to cater specifically to the needs of performance-focused cyclists, combining lightweight materials with exceptional aerodynamic design.
A Look at the Specifications
The CIMA frame is crafted from a blend of high-end carbon fibers: T1100, T800, and M40. Weighing in at a mere 650 grams for the unpainted medium size, this frame sets a new benchmark for lightness and strength, pushing the envelope of cycling technology. According to GCN, it features outstanding aesthetic qualities and utilizes premium carbon found in many top-tier Western bicycle brands. Notably, its components include ceramic bearings from
CeramicSpeed for optimal performance.
Performance and Precision at Your Fingertips
Available in six sizes, the CIMA caters to cyclists ranging from 146 cm to 202 cm in height, offering two fork offsets and three bottom bracket drops to ensure consistent handling across all sizes. The stiffness of the bottom bracket has been rated at 29.4 N/mm, ensuring that power transfer is nothing short of precise. The fork is remarkably lightweight at just 355 grams unpainted, contributing to the total bike weight of only 4.95 kg—achieved with a combination of lightweight components, premium wheelsets, and a
Shimano Dura-Ace groupset.
Proven Performance
Go beyond the surface and check the rigorous testing that the CIMA has undergone. The frame has successfully passed 21 internal tests that surpass ISO standards, including a grueling 1,440 N fatigue test for the seat post over 10,000 cycles. Additionally, it boasts independent certification from
Institute Zedler in Germany, ensuring it meets their highest standard, labeled "Advanced". This thorough testing confirms that the CIMA not only meets but exceeds expectations for rigidity despite its ultralight construction.
Enhancing Aerodynamics
Aerodynamic advantages are further underscored by wind tunnel tests performed at the
Silverstone Sports Engineering Center in the UK, where CIMA demonstrated considerable efficiency at speeds of 45 km/h, saving an average of 4.74 watts compared to leading international brands. This reduction in aerodynamic drag affirms evolve®'s commitment to uncompromised performance.
The Kreuza Accessories Line
To complement the CIMA, evolve® has launched the
Kreuza brand, dedicated to lightweight and aerodynamically optimized accessories for cyclists. The flagship
Apex Handlebar weighs only 305 grams and is offered in 18 configurations. This allows for unbeatable performance and tailored comfort.
A Vision for the Future
Founded by industry veterans Tony Tong from
Elitewheels and Mian Chan from
Cybrei, evolve® is the culmination of three years dedicated to passion, precision, and expertise. With a strong foundation, the brand is poised to deliver purposeful performance that targets the heart of cycling enthusiasts across the globe.
