On June 24, 2025, a highly anticipated event will take place at the OAG Hall in the German Cultural Center in Tokyo, shedding light on the insights and trends from IFA 2024 and look ahead to IFA 2025. Hosted by Messe Berlin's Japanese Representative Office, this event promises valuable insights for business professionals across Japan.

The International Consumer Electronics Show, known as IFA, is a globally recognized platform showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies. In 2024, the event celebrated its 100th anniversary, drawing over 215,000 visitors from 138 countries, including approximately 133,000 trade visitors. This remarkable gathering of established brands and groundbreaking startups offered a sneak peek into the next generation of technology, spanning smart homes, AI, and sustainable solutions that are transforming our lives and interactions.

At this inaugural gathering, attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear from IFA CEO, Life Lintner, who will be speaking in Japan for the first time. He will cover essential trends from this year’s exhibitors and provide an overview of global developments, as well as strategies for the upcoming IFA 2025. Notably, the event will introduce the “IFA Certified Smart Home Visit Support Service,” aimed at facilitating insights into smart home innovations.

The agenda will feature a special session on smart homes led by Shinkai Fumimasa, CEO of X-HEMISTRY, who has extensive knowledge from a decade of attending IFA. This session will encapsulate key takeaways from IFA 2024 and delve into the latest smart home trends, setting the stage for future discussions.
