On July 27, 2025, the Machida Yakushi Ike Park will host two enchanting events: the "Lotus Viewing Festival" and the "Wet Play Festival." These festivities offer a unique opportunity to enjoy nature while engaging in delightful activities suitable for all ages.

Lotus Viewing Festival (観蓮会)

The Lotus Viewing Festival is a must-see summer event where visitors can admire the elegant lotus flowers blooming in the early morning. This year, attendees will get a chance to enjoy traditional refreshments served via lotus leaves.

• - Time: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM (Cancelled in case of rain)
• - Learning Experience: Participants can indulge in the refreshing "荷葉酒 (Kayou Shu)" (lotus leaf sake) and "荷葉茶 (Kayou Cha)" (lotus leaf tea). The first 200 attendees will enjoy these treats, distributing tickets beginning at 6:30 AM, so arrive early!

Wet Play Festival (びっちょりまつり)

• - Bubble blowing games using lotus stems
