Welltrack Connect Expands Its Network to Over 20,000 Behavioral Health Providers Worldwide

Welltrack Connect Surpasses 20,000 Global Behavioral Health Providers

In a groundbreaking achievement, Welltrack Connect has increased its network to more than 20,000 behavioral health providers globally, as announced by Protocall Services. This expansion not only signifies the growing need for high-quality behavioral health care in higher education but also reinforces Welltrack Connect's status as a leading referral and clinical augmentation platform tailored for students.

The Importance of Welltrack Connect

As the first platform of its kind in the realm of higher education, Welltrack Connect seamlessly connects colleges and universities with both in-person and virtual behavioral health resources. The platform is designed with flexibility in mind, offering various support options including institutional sponsorship, insurance-based services, sliding scale fees, and fee-for-service care. By doing so, Welltrack Connect extends the capacity of counseling centers and enhances continuity of care, making it significantly easier for students to locate providers who align with their unique clinical needs and identities.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, Welltrack Connect's network has witnessed remarkable growth, adding over 2,000 new providers. Notably, 80% of these providers accept in-network insurance, and 70% offer in-person services, catering specifically to the preferences of students who favor face-to-face interactions for their mental health care. Nearly half provide sliding scale rates, while more than 25% of them offer services in languages other than English, addressing the diverse needs of the student population.

Focus on Diversity and Accessibility

What sets Welltrack Connect apart is not only its emphasis on access but also its intentional approach to diversity. As of December 2025, more than 45% of providers identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color, and over 30% are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. This diverse representation among providers ensures that students can find professionals who resonate with their backgrounds, cultures, and identities, significantly enhancing the overall therapeutic experience.

Dr. Aarti Khullar, a psychologist and Co-Founder of Welltrack Connect, commented on the milestone: "What makes this milestone especially meaningful is that the growth of the network has remained intentional. We've focused not just on expanding access, but on building a network that reflects how students actually seek care today."

Dr. Khullar emphasized that Welltrack Connect has been pivotal in assisting institutions in creating sustainable models of mental health care. Whether through in-person counseling, after-hours support, or provider matching that reflects a student's cultural identity, the platform prioritizes a tailored approach to mental health services.

Innovative Flexible Credits Program

One of Welltrack Connect's most innovative offerings is its Flexible Credits Program. Initially launched as a pilot at a university in the Boston area in 2024, this program has successfully expanded to serve institutions across other states, including California, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. Currently, more than 400 providers have joined the Flexible Credits network, all specializing in college mental health—a direct response to campus needs.

Conclusion

With over 30 years of experience in clinical and crisis support, Welltrack by Protocall is dedicated to enhancing access to high-quality behavioral health solutions. The continuous growth and expansion of Welltrack Connect's provider network not only illustrates the high demand for mental health support but also showcases a commitment to creating inclusive services that resonate with diverse student populations in need. As institutions increasingly recognize the critical importance of mental health, Welltrack Connect stands at the forefront, empowering students to access the support they deserve.
