Simplified Selection Process

Understanding the growing complexity of vehicle battery requirements, VARTA has established a clear, technology-driven portfolio structure that allows users to quickly identify the appropriate battery technology. The innovation includes a color-coded system where each color signifies a specific technology type. For instance, the blue-labeled SLI battery (Starting, Lighting, Ignition) provides reliable starting power for conventional vehicles, while the silver-labeled EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) is ideal for vehicles with start-stop systems and standard hotel functions.

The gold-labeled AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery caters to applications with high energy demands, suited for advanced start-stop systems and electric vehicles. New to the lineup is the orange-labeled Li-Ion technology for leisure applications like RVs and boats, designed to provide excellent energy storage along with intelligent monitoring via a Bluetooth app. This meticulous organization simplifies the selection process and reduces confusion for customers.

The new EFB H9 and AGM H3 batteries are specially designed to optimize performance for modern vehicles, offering improved energy efficiency and an extended lifespan. Additionally, VARTA has expanded its ProMotive range in the heavy vehicle sector, introducing the EFB A-Type battery, tailored to support the latest low-voltage systems in modern trucks and vehicles. The AGM B-Type follows closely, engineered to further enhance performance and reliability, with its market debut slated for fall 2025.

With the rise of digitization and off-grid lifestyles, VARTA is also launching a high-quality Li-Ion battery aimed at recreational applications such as RVs, trailers, and boats. This state-of-the-art battery delivers double the usable energy compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, boasting more than 3,000 cycles, a 45% lighter design, and smart monitoring capabilities through both Bluetooth and CAN-Bus. The VARTA Li-Ion app provides users with real-time insights into battery status, charge level, and usage patterns, making it easier for customers to manage their energy needs.
