Huawei Unveils Advanced Stellar Intelligent Fabric at HNS 2026 in Florence

The Huawei Network Summit 2026, held in Florence, Italy, has emerged as a significant event for industry leaders to discuss advancements in data center network technology. The summit featured an executive roundtable focusing on the development of resilient, intelligent open data center networks across Europe. During this prominent gathering, Huawei officially introduced its new and improved Stellar Intelligent Fabric tailored for the European market.

The innovative Stellar Intelligent Fabric is not just another product in Huawei's lineup; it's a robust solution crafted to empower organizations in establishing highly resilient and efficient next-generation open data center networks. This solution is characterized by superior intelligence, performance, and reliability, essential for today’s demanding digital ecosystems.

Bingyu Zhou, the Vice Director of Huawei's European ICT Marketing Solution Sales Department, opened the session with compelling insights on how adopting artificial intelligence technologies will reshape global industries over the next decade. Zhou highlighted that this transition creates a strategic opportunity window for Europe. By leveraging hyper-scale capacity, high data processing, automated operations, modular architecture, and low power consumption, Huawei's data center networks contribute significantly to Europe’s green agenda and the ongoing digitalization of industries.

Maintaining a strong commitment to the principle of “For Europe, in Europe,” Huawei emphasizes the importance of forming regional partnerships to build an open network infrastructure. Johnny Cheng, Vice President of the Data Center Network Section at Huawei's Data Communication Product Group, underscored the challenges stemming from the escalating scale and complexity of data centers, attributing it to operational efficiencies and uninterrupted uptime challenges.

To tackle these issues, Huawei has launched the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric. This solution, augmented by technologies such as StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0, eliminates single points of failure and establishes a smart, open network architecture that protects critical workloads—from unexpected malfunctions to systemic failures.

Mesut Özca, Solution Manager at KoçSistem, shared the application outcomes of their collaboration with Huawei, stating, “We partnered with Huawei to modernize our data center's resilience. Using the StarryWing Digital Map has enabled us to establish multi-data center topologies. The layered network communications now provide self-healing capabilities between centers, allowing our computing services to remain online seamlessly during local hardware failures.”

Aldo Artigiani, Technical Leader of the Connectivity Working Group at OEHI, highlighted the role of artificial intelligence as a cornerstone for a robust AI infrastructure, accelerating the advent of a smart world. Moreover, organizations such as ITU-T and OEHI are advancing the development of Ethernet standards to enhance performance and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) for both AI and high-performance computing (HPC).

Artigiani advocated for the industry to adopt open Ethernet standards to achieve progress collaboratively. Looking forward, Huawei reaffirms its commitment to fostering open collaboration and technical innovation. By strengthening partnerships across Europe, Huawei aims to enhance data center network architectures, support enterprise transformation, and drive high-quality sustainable growth in the digital economy.

In summary, Huawei’s initiative at HNS 2026 showcases its commitment to revolutionizing Europe’s data center landscapes. With new-age technologies like the Stellar Intelligent Fabric, Huawei is set to redefine the standards of network resilience and performance in the digital domain.
