This marks the eighth year the prominent Michigan personal injury law firm has invited students to contribute their voices to an important cause that affects everyone on the road.

Distracted driving continues to be a significant issue nationally, claiming lives and causing injuries. By offering this scholarship, Christensen Law seeks to inspire students to create impactful messages through their essays, which can lead to a safer driving culture both in Michigan and beyond. The firm aims to engage high school seniors and current college students in advocating against distractions behind the wheel, encouraging them to utilize their creativity to foster a greater awareness of this pressing issue.

Scholarship Details and Application Guidelines

The scholarship will award $2,500 to one deserving winner. Open to Michigan residents, applicants must either be high school seniors currently enrolled in a Michigan school or college students attending an accredited U.S. university.

Participants are required to submit a typed essay between 750 to 1,000 words. The essay should be formatted in 12-point font and double-spaced, and can be submitted in either PDF or DOCX format. Applicants will have four prompt options to choose from, focusing on themes like persuasive writing, narrative storytelling, passenger safety, and concepts for teen-led campaigns.

Submissions will be evaluated based on relevance, originality, emotional impact, persuasiveness, and clarity of writing.
