China International Supply Chain Expo to Reach Record Participation with New International Focus

The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo Sets New Standards

The 4th edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is gearing up to take place in Beijing from June 22 to 26, and it promises to be a landmark event for international collaboration in supply chain management. According to Li Xingqian, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), this year’s expo is set to achieve record levels of global participation.

Australia Takes the Spotlight

Notably, Australia has been named the guest country of honor for the first time, marking a significant milestone as this represents the country's official debut at this national-level exhibition. This inclusion reflects the expo's growing international profile and commitment to fostering global partnerships. In addition to Australia, the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Italy's Liguria will make their debuts as invited provinces at this international event, thus expanding the geographical representation at CISCE.

Global Participation Surges

As of now, exhibitors from 85 countries, regions, and international organizations have confirmed their participation. Notably, international exhibitors will account for over 36.5% of the total, including prominent companies from the Fortune Global 500 that comprise more than 65% of the participants. Additionally, more than 150 foreign delegations have confirmed their intention to travel to China for meetings and business discussions, suggesting that the number and caliber of participating delegations will surpass that of previous events.

Focusing on Innovation and Modern Supply Chains

Two Chinese provinces, Anhui and Hainan, are also set to highlight their innovations and collaborations. Anhui will focus on advanced manufacturing and emerging industries, particularly smart and connected electric vehicles, next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, and more. Hainan, celebrating its first year of independent customs operations for its free trade port, will showcase developments in modern supply chains, institutional innovation, and international cooperation opportunities.

Program and Events

The opening ceremony is scheduled for the morning of June 22, when participants will also jointly announce the 4th CISCE Beijing Initiative. This event will bring together a wide array of stakeholders in the supply chain industry, aiming to facilitate networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

Conclusion

As the world increasingly recognizes the importance of resilient supply chains, the CISCE emerges as a pivotal platform in shaping the future of global trade. With its diverse participation and focus on innovation, this year’s expo is poised to make a significant impact, fostering dialogue and partnerships in the rapidly evolving landscape of international supply chain management.
