JLL Retail Management Takes Charge of Amazing Spot in Mojiko
On December 15, 2025, the prominent real estate service firm JLL, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, announced that its subsidiary, JLL Retail Management, has secured the management contract for the new commercial facility, Amazing Spot, located in the upcoming PORT TOWN MOJIKO complex in the Mojiko Retro District of Kitakyushu, Japan. This project is being championed by Misato Construction Co., based in Kitakyushu.
The Mojiko Retro District, situated near the Mojiko Station, is a renowned tourist destination in Kitakyushu, known for its historical architecture and stunning views of the Kanmon Strait. The area is set for further development with plans for additional public facilities, commercial spaces, and accommodations, indicating a promising future for the region.
JLL Retail Management will oversee the pre-opening preparations, tenant recruitment, and operational management for the Amazing Spot facility, which is expected to officially open on July 24, 2026, alongside a hotel within the PORT TOWN MOJIKO complex.

Facility Concept and Tenant Overview
The concept for the commercial space is termed "Mojiko’s New Standard". It is slated to host a total of nine tenants, with six of them already confirmed. All tenants will aim to open simultaneously on the launch date.
First Floor (4 Stores): This level will feature a selection of shops, including a lifestyle store from Fukuoka that incorporates a café, stylish spaces selling merchandise representing Mojiko tourism, and other food and beverage outlets that highlight local characteristics.
Second Floor (5 Stores): Here, popular dining options from Kitakyushu, such as baked curry, ramen, and seafood restaurants, will set up shop. Visitors to this floor will be treated to spectacular views of the Kanmon Strait, offering an extraordinary environment where they can experience the changing seasons and time.
