Envision Energy Accelerates Wind Technology Development with New DNV Certification

Envision Energy's Latest Achievement in Wind Technology

A Major Milestone

Envision Energy, recognized globally for its contributions to green technology, has reached a significant milestone by obtaining Type Certification from DNV for its new wind turbine model, TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 designed for a 60 Hz network). This certification not only underscores the technological advancement of Envision's turbine but also solidifies its place in the evolving market for renewable energy solutions.

The official announcement was made during the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event, where Mette Redanz, DNV’s Vice President of Renewable Energy Certification, presented the certification to Yimin Lou, Envision's Senior Vice President and Product Director. This moment underlines the importance of independent certification in fostering the development of sophisticated wind energy technologies.

The Development Process

Envision's TG Pro turbine has been rigorously tested since its market launch in 2024, receiving numerous orders from China and international markets. The turbine's design incorporates high-performance architecture, optimized aerodynamic design, and intelligent control technologies, enhancing energy capture and production efficiency across a wide range of wind conditions.

Envision has meticulously crafted the TG Pro platform for long-term reliability, featuring reinforced key components and technical solutions designed to withstand challenging operational environments. The certification process involved thorough testing of components, digital twin simulations, and extensive field prototyping, providing a solid foundation for evaluating the turbine's performance and reliability.

Independent Validation

The DNV certification serves as third-party confirmation that the turbine's design complies with necessary certification requirements. Yimin Lou emphasized that the continuous development of Envision's next-generation turbine portfolio is anchored in thorough testing and real-world applications. He stated, “The DNV certification for the TG Pro platform further showcases its maturity and readiness to serve customers across different international markets.”

Future of Renewable Energy

As the global emphasis on renewable energy systems grows, Envision is committed to advancing smart, high-performance, and reliable turbine technologies. These advances empower renewable energy to deliver greater value on a global scale. Mette Redanz further mentioned, “Independent certification provides a crucial foundation for confidence in wind turbine technology, helping manufacturers, developers, and stakeholders assess the performance, reliability, and compliance of new turbine platforms.”

Broader Portfolio Presentation

In addition to the TG Pro, Envision Energy will showcase its broader range of wind turbines at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. Notably, the EN-156/5.0 MW platform has also received a provisional type certificate from Bureau Veritas within less than five months of the certification process. This independent assessment confirmed the design and technical capabilities of the platform as it transitions into broader commercial deployment.

The EN-156/5.0 MW turbine, developed for the Asia-Pacific region, is currently being deployed in the Manar Wind Farm project in Sri Lanka, showcasing Envision’s first utility-scale turbine order in the country. Designed with a hub height of 110 meters and enhanced anti-corrosion protection, this turbine is tailored for the demanding coastal environment characterized by high salinity and humidity.

Commitment to Precision Engineering

Coupling international certification with real project deployment evident in this model highlights Envision's dedication to reliability and adaptability to environmental conditions, facilitating its adoption in Sri Lanka and other regional markets.

Both of these certification milestones illustrate Envision's ongoing focus on precision engineering, independent verification, and product development tailored to specific markets. By collaborating with leading international certification bodies and clients across various markets, Envision continues to advance wind turbine technologies that prioritize performance, reliability, and adaptability in our dynamic global energy landscape.
