Eucatex Partners with RELEX Solutions to Enhance Supply Chain Management in Brazil
Eucatex S.A., a prominent Brazilian industrial manufacturer, has made a significant move by selecting RELEX Solutions to transform its supply chain planning for its construction materials sector. Founded in 1951, Eucatex has established itself as a leader in manufacturing products such as paints, laminate flooring, doors, and partitions. With operations in Brazil and exports to over 40 countries, maintaining efficient supply chain operations is crucial for their continued growth.
The decision to partner with RELEX comes after Eucatex experienced challenges in managing inventory across a growing product portfolio, which had become increasingly complex. By the end of 2025, inventory levels had begun to strain working capital as the reliance on outdated spreadsheet-based processes limited effective integration among teams responsible for commercial, supply chain, and logistics functions. As a result, Eucatex faced difficulties in maintaining a consistent view of its inventory, which spans more than 1,300 stock-keeping units (SKUs).
To address these challenges, RELEX Solutions will provide advanced planning capabilities that integrate demand forecasting, inventory management, and distribution planning on a unified platform. The implementation will be led by Sintec Consulting, a consultancy based in São Paulo, ensuring that Eucatex can effectively transition into a streamlined and data-driven planning approach.
One of the most notable benefits of this collaboration is the implementation of AI-driven demand forecasting. Eucatex’s new system will be capable of generating accurate forecasts for each SKU across different sales channels and distribution centers up to 18 months in advance. This vital information will then be utilized for inventory optimization, recalibrating safety stock levels and replenishment parameters dynamically for each SKU based on real-time data.
Moreover, the distribution planning will orchestrate coordinated transfer orders throughout Eucatex's network while adhering to logistics constraints and service level targets. This strategic approach is expected to minimize the occurrence of emergency shipments and enhance product availability, ultimately benefiting Eucatex’s customers.
Executive Vice President José Antônio Goulart de Carvalho emphasized that the main objective of this initiative goes beyond merely adopting new technology. He remarked, "We are building planning capabilities that give our leadership team clear visibility and control over our supply chain." By laying this foundation, Eucatex aims to manage working capital more efficiently, enhance customer satisfaction through improved product availability, and foster continued growth in an increasingly competitive market.
Furthermore, the collaboration with RELEX aligns with Eucatex’s commitment to sustainability. Eucatex has a reputable sustainability program encompassing managed forests and utilizing renewable energy for its factories. As noted by Martín Saludas, VP Manufacturing LATAM at RELEX Solutions, enhanced planning procedures will result in reduced excess inventory, minimized unnecessary transportation, and more efficient use of resources.
This partnership reflects a strategic move for Eucatex as it navigates the growing complexities of the industrial manufacturing landscape in Brazil and beyond. The integration of RELEX Solutions into Eucatex’s operations highlights an industry trend toward leveraging innovative technologies to improve supply chain effectiveness, sustainability, and profitability.
As Eucatex prepares for this transformative shift in its supply chain operations, stakeholders can look forward to a more cohesive and effective approach to managing demand and inventory in the coming years. Through this initiative, Eucatex not only aims to improve its operational efficiency but also to maintain its status as a trusted player in the global construction materials market.
