UScellular Champions Healthy Digital Habits with New Initiative for the Global Day of Unplugging
UScellular Invites Families to Unplug on Global Day of Unplugging
In an age where smartphones occupy so much of our attention, UScellular is taking proactive steps to encourage a balanced approach to technology usage among families. With the Global Day of Unplugging coming up on March 7, 2025, the company's latest initiative aims to foster healthy digital habits, especially among youth.
UScellular recently revealed a significant investment of $150,000 to support unplugged experiences for children at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This relationship is meant to provide opportunities for younger generations to engage in face-to-face interactions without the distraction of screens.
The initiative doesn't stop there. In the wake of insights gathered from a December 2024 survey, which highlighted a communication gap between parents and children regarding phone use, UScellular has established a special group called the Board of Connectors. This board comprises youth from Boys & Girls Clubs and children of UScellular employees, empowered to voice their thoughts and develop strategies for families to unplug together.
