Fruit Attraction 2025 Approaches 90% Occupancy, Reinforcing Global Leadership

Fruit Attraction 2025: Global Leadership in the Horticultural Sector

The Fruit Attraction event, organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, is gearing up for an exciting edition from September 30 to October 2, 2025, in Madrid. With only four months to go, the event has already registered a remarkable occupancy rate of over 90%. This statistic was revealed by María José Sánchez, the director of Fruit Attraction, in a recent press conference, alongside comments from Cecilio Peregrín and José María Pozancos, the president and director of FEPEX, respectively.

With an allocated exhibition area of 70,000 square meters—an 8% increase compared to the previous year—expectations for participation are high. The event is projected to host over 2,500 companies, showcase 75,000 square meters of fruit and vegetable offerings, and attract more than 120,000 industry professionals from across 150 countries.

Enhancing the Experience: New Sectorization and Expansion

This year's Fruit Attraction signifies a significant milestone as it reinforces its position as one of the leading global fairs in the horticultural industry. A strategic expansion and new sectorization will further enhance the experience for both exhibitors and visitors. The event will occupy ten exhibition halls (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14), ultimately transforming Madrid into the epicenter of fresh product marketing.

The odd-numbered halls will unveil innovative products from national companies, including proposals from the InnovaTech area located in hall 5. Meanwhile, even-numbered halls will feature European offerings (halls 4, 6, and 8), individual companies operating in the global market (halls 8 and 10), as well as sections dedicated to products from America (hall 12), and Africa and Asia (hall 14). A dedicated space for Fresh Food Logistics will be located in hall 4, while auxiliary industry representation will be ensured across most halls, reflecting the full value chain of the sector during Fruit Attraction.

Spotlight on Tomatoes and Organic Products

This year, tomatoes will take center stage, with various initiatives designed to promote this popular vegetable that plays a crucial role in Spain's economic landscape. Additionally, the event will place a particular emphasis on organic products, with designated activities and visually distinct stands to highlight companies offering organic options.

The international buyer program will again be complemented by the 'Invited Importing Countries' initiative, featuring Mexico and Malaysia prominently. For the second time, Fruit Attraction will present awards for the best stand, recognizing the most creative, well-designed, and sustainable exhibition spaces. Awards will be given in four categories: Most Original Stand, Best Design Stand, Most Sustainable Stand, and Public's Choice Stand.

Fruit Attraction will also host the Innovation Hubs Awards, celebrating the best projects, products, or services in the sector while focusing on innovation, sustainability, applied technology, and knowledge. As in previous editions, all submitted entries will be displayed in the Innovation Hub area connecting halls 4 and 6 during the three-day event.

A Hub of Knowledge

Once again, the fair will serve as a center of knowledge through various forums, showcasing a comprehensive program of technical sessions characterized by a rich diversity of content and high-caliber participants and speakers. Featured events include the Grape Attraction, Biofruit Congress, and Fresh Food Logistics The Summit.

Organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, the 2025 edition of Fruit Attraction will take place at the fair venue from September 30 to October 2, with opening hours from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and until 4:00 PM on the final day.
