On January 21, Dassault Systèmes and Progress Technologies unveiled the "3DEXPERIENCE Room" at Progress's Innovation Center in Koto, Tokyo, marking a significant milestone in their partnership. This facility aims to drive the digital transformation of Japan's manufacturing industry by providing an interactive space where companies can experience and engage with the latest technologies.

The Japanese manufacturing sector has been rapidly evolving, driven by global competition and increasing demands for product functionality and diversity. As a result, optimizing Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) has become essential. However, structural challenges such as rising raw material prices, unstable supply chains, and labor shortages have begun to hinder traditional improvement efforts, creating a critical need for radical digital reform.

Despite ongoing digital technology adoption across various companies, many still grapple with disparate tools and rules within departments, resulting in a heavy burden on the workforce for integration and standardization. To address these issues, a unified information management system that allows seamless collaboration across design, development, analysis, and manufacturing is necessary. Moreover, the facility will progressively incorporate advanced technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI learning processes, aimed at significantly reducing workload in design and development tasks.
