Vary Tech Showcases Innovative Technologies for Plastic Pollution Management at INC-5 Event

Addressing Plastic Pollution: Vary Tech’s Commitment

Vary Tech, a leader in waste management technology, has made significant strides in combating plastic pollution. At the recently held INC-5 side event in Busan, South Korea, the company presented its innovative technologies aimed at recycling plastic and promoting international collaboration to tackle this pressing global issue.

Innovative Solutions for a Global Crisis

The fifth session of the INC-5 (International Negotiating Committee) on Plastic Pollution convened experts and stakeholders from around the world, emphasizing the urgent need for innovative solutions to plastic waste management. Hunan Vary Tech Co., Ltd., a Chinese company, utilized this platform to showcase its advanced recycling technologies. With 20 years of expertise in solid waste recycling, Vary Tech highlighted its unique pyrolysis process which turns waste plastics into valuable resources such as oil, gas, and carbon.

For over a decade, Vary Tech has invested considerably in R&D, leading to the development of its sixth-generation recycling technology. This system is capable of processing up to 150 tons of waste plastic daily. Notably, the process operates with a near-zero flue gas sealing coefficient and achieves a remarkable 90% recovery rate of pyrolysis gas. Furthermore, it consumes 15% less energy compared to traditional incineration methods, thus merging economic advantages with environmental responsibility.

A Milestone Collaboration

At the event, Vary Tech signed a crucial cooperation agreement with a South Korean recycling firm, marking a significant step towards global collaboration in plastic pollution control. The South Korean partner boasts 15 years of experience in recycling synthetic resins and produces over 10,000 tons of solid fuel annually, playing a pivotal role in the country’s recycling landscape.

This partnership aims to leverage each company’s expertise in chemical recycling, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and output quality while addressing the monumental challenge of plastic pollution on a global scale. It underscores the potential for transnational cooperation in environmental stewardship.

Technological Advancements and Global Impact

Vary Tech's pyrolysis technology has already seen commercial success, with its first plastic chemical recycling project in China processing a substantial 220,000 tons of plastic waste annually. The facility has operated consistently for five years, validating the technology’s viability and effectiveness.

Moreover, this innovative process has been implemented in various other projects across the globe, including in South Korea, Brazil, and Japan. Establishing a solid technological foundation for international collaboration, Vary Tech positions itself as a frontrunner in combating plastic waste.

Towards a Sustainable Future

As the world increasingly recognizes the disastrous effects of plastic pollution, companies like Vary Tech are at the forefront of shaping future environmental policies and practices. The partnership formed during the INC-5 event stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts required for effective waste management.

The advancement of international agreements on plastic pollution management illustrates the growing importance of this issue as a catalyst for innovation within the environmental protection industry. As more companies engage in this endeavor, we can anticipate collective progress towards mitigating plastic pollution and fostering sustainable development.
