Aviat Networks Welcomes Andrew C. Schmidt as Chief Financial Officer

Bringing over 25 years of senior financial leadership experience to the table, Andrew Schmidt's previous tenure includes more than 20 years as a CFO for public companies. His most recent position was as CFO of Sientra, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed company in the medical aesthetics sector, where he adeptly navigated the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and played a vital role in the company’s sale in 2024.

Before his time at Sientra, Schmidt served as CFO at Iteris, Inc., which specializes in intelligent transportation technology. In this capacity, he worked in collaboration with more than 3,000 public agencies focused on designing, building, and managing transportation systems across various levels of government in the U.S. His expertise here aligns seamlessly with Aviat's strategic push to enhance its offerings in public safety and grow its software sales.
