HYPER MUSEUM HANNO Welcomes Kazuki Takakura

The contemporary art scene is set to take a bold leap with the highly anticipated third exhibition at HYPER MUSEUM HANNO, curated by the renowned director Shigeo Goto. From November 16, 2025, to March 1, 2026, art enthusiasts will have the chance to immerse themselves in the innovative world of Kazuki Takakura.

Exhibition Overview

The exhibition, titled "Character is a Word", showcases a unique blend of digital and physical art forms. Kazuki Takakura, known for his distinctive characters including ogres, kappa, and the Chinese zodiac, will create an interactive experience where visitors can engage with his art through gameplay. This exhibition promises to provide audiences with a narrative that fuses traditional culture with contemporary expression.

As visitors explore both indoor and outdoor spaces of the museum, they will encounter larger-than-life installations and projections brought to life by Takakura's vibrant imagination. At the exhibit’s center will stand HYPER MAN, a magnificent guardian towering at approximately 4 meters, symbolizing the fusion of spirituality and digital creativity.

An Artistic Playground

Located amidst the lush forests and tranquil lakes of Saitama Prefecture, HYPER MUSEUM HANNO seeks to create a cultural hub where art and nature coalesce. The venue will also include a museum shop offering the first edition of Takakura's picture book "Oni Kappa to Juunishi", available for early purchase at a price of 2,420 yen (tax included).

In addition, tickets for the exhibition are reasonably priced; online tickets are available for 1,000 yen (500 yen for ages 4-18) while on-site tickets can be purchased for 1,200 yen (700 yen for youths). Online ticket purchases can be made up to the day before the visit, making it convenient for all art lovers.
