GLOBIS Graduate School Expands Executive MBA Offerings
GLOBIS Graduate School of Management, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is set to launch its Executive MBA (EMBA) program at its Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka campuses starting in the 2026 academic year. This initiative will allow candidates across Japan's major cities, barring special campuses in Sendai, Yokohama, and Mito, to pursue their EMBA degrees.
Background of the Program Launch
The decision to extend the EMBA program to these regions is rooted in the growing demand from business professionals eager to strengthen their local networks while tackling regional business challenges. Currently, GLOBIS offers a comprehensive approach to management education, emphasizing collaboration among a diverse set of peers and collective learning experiences.
Previously available only in Tokyo and online, the EMBA was part of a broader rollout that includes the newly introduced Technovate MBA (TMBA). Since the launch of these programs in April 2025, GLOBIS has welcomed a total of 943 students across its various MBA tracks. The upcoming event, scheduled for May 26, will feature renowned business leaders like Yoshiyuki Higuchi (Panasonic Connect), Keiko Tashiro (Daiwa Securities Group), and Yosuke Tsuji (Money Forward) as they discuss the importance of an MBA in shaping career trajectories.
Curriculum Focus: EMBA and TMBA

This initiative aligns with the growing needs identified among MZ generation learners, indicating a clear shift in their values and career aspirations. GLOBIS aims to foster innovative leaders capable of not only thriving in change but also instigating it. With the evolving educational landscape, the two distinct focus areas of business education provided by GLOBIS directly respond to the demands of current and future leaders.
Additionally, each program will include a blend of personalized development opportunities that consider both individual career stages and specific challenges faced within their fields. This structure ensures comprehensive growth, ultimately aiming to enhance the fabric of Japan's business leadership.
Training for the Next Generation of Leaders
As of March 2025, GLOBIS's Japanese MBA cohort includes 121 entrepreneurs, highlighting the high caliber of the school's educational offerings and its commitment to nurturing Japan’s future business leaders.
