Gravity Expands Operations and Team to Meet European Market Demand

Gravity, a leading name in the realm of enterprise carbon accounting and energy management solutions, has made headlines with its recent expansion into the European market. This strategic move is driven by the surging demand from companies in Europe seeking to move beyond basic sustainability reporting and to enhance their overall business value through innovative solutions.

With operations already spanning across 19 countries in Europe, Gravity has reported significant growth in North America as well, where over 60% of its current customers transitioned from alternative providers to embrace Gravity's solutions. This shift exemplifies the company’s growing influence and success within the sector.

According to Saleh ElHattab, Co-Founder and CEO of Gravity, the company has pinpointed common challenges faced by European businesses. Many organizations find that existing automation tools fall short, leading to excessive time spent on emission measurement. Furthermore, keeping pace with regulatory changes often proves daunting. ElHattab emphasized that aligning sustainability initiatives with core business objectives is crucial for justifying investment, a principle that Gravity has adopted since its inception.

The company’s track record in Europe includes partnerships with diverse firms, such as Adyen, an Amsterdam-based financial technology giant, Permasteelisa Group, a notable Italian contractor specializing in architectural envelopes, and SHV Energy, a Netherlands-based distributor focused on off-grid energy. Gravity has played an essential role in supporting these clients, particularly in preparing for compliance with the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and ensuring successful outcomes for third-party audits without any qualifications.

Anna Foden, Head of Sustainability at Permasteelisa, remarked on how Gravity has been pivotal in assisting her company to gain clarity on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
