Envision Energy and ju:niz Team Up for Sustainable Energy Solutions in Germany

Envision Energy and ju:niz Energy Collaborate on the First Generation 8 BESS Projects in Germany

Envision Energy, renowned for its innovative green technology solutions, has launched a pivotal collaboration with ju:niz Energy to introduce its first Generation 8 Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Germany. This strategic partnership was unveiled during the esteemed Intersolar Europe conference in Munich, marking a significant entry point for Envision into Europe's dynamic energy storage market.

The newly announced projects have a total capacity of 140.6 MWh, with two main sites: the S10 project located in Baindt, southern Germany at 88.4 MWh, and the S15 project in Schöningen, northern Germany at 52.2 MWh. As the leading project developer and operator, ju:niz Energy will be responsible for aligning these projects with market regulations and ensuring they meet the highest quality and schedule standards. Envision will come on board as a key technology partner, leveraging its advanced solutions in AI-powered Future Energy Systems to deliver a cohesive storage approach using its state-of-the-art Gen 8 BESS platform.

The features of the Gen 8 platform include four-hour duration capabilities, advanced battery technology, and grid-forming functionalities. By addressing Germany's escalating demand for reliable and flexible energy infrastructure, these projects are aimed at enhancing grid adaptability, increasing resilience, and facilitating better integration of renewable energy sources.

Envision's Senior Vice President for the EU and Latin America, Henry Peng, emphasized the importance of these projects as milestones for the company’s growth in Germany and Europe. He highlighted how the projects demonstrate the versatility of the Gen 8 BESS in adapting to diverse regional grid conditions and markets. He noted, “By combining cutting-edge storage technologies with grid-forming capabilities, we are committed to transforming innovation into lasting system value, thereby supporting a more resilient energy future throughout Europe.”

Furthermore, Dr. Thomas Stephanblome, CEO of ju:niz, reiterated the critical importance of advanced storage infrastructure in advancing Germany's energy transition and integrating renewable energies. He expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, citing it as a reflection of their shared goal to deliver premium storage solutions that align with the evolving requirements of Germany's energy grid. The projects are also anticipated to serve as scalable references for future energy storage implementations throughout Europe.

This partnership not only signifies a major step for Envision Energy in Germany but also opens up further avenues for collaboration aimed at scaling the next generation of energy storage solutions across Europe. With a strong emphasis on technology maturity, regulatory understanding, and system execution prowess, Envision and ju:niz are well-positioned to meet the evolving energy needs of tomorrow.

As the industry moves forward, the cooperation between these two companies will be instrumental in developing more resilient, flexible, and innovative energy systems that are prepared to meet the challenges of the future. Together, they are laying the groundwork for a sustainable energy landscape that integrates advanced storage capabilities essential for a greener Europe.
