(Headquartered in Yamato, Kanagawa; President: Masamiko Shimizu) will make its inaugural appearance. Kinarinowa's Contribution

Kinarinowa will showcase a food truck-based training demonstration in collaboration with the Kan'u Yamato Catering Association, operating two food trucks to offer meals.

This event marks the first training exercise under the agreement, where Kinarinowa aims to highlight the critical role of food support during disasters. By enabling citizens to experience meal distributions firsthand, they hope to convey the significance of timely and warm meal provision. Kinarinowa also emphasizes awareness of allergy information and hygiene standards to ensure safe food options during emergencies.

Kinarinowa will also showcase panels detailing their relief efforts during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, illustrating the comfort and vitality that warm meals can provide to evacuees.

Representative's Remarks

Masamiko Shimizu, President of Kinarinowa, stated, "Having warm meals available during disasters can significantly change people's moods. By utilizing the mobility of food trucks and fostering collaborations between local authorities, community members, and businesses, we aim to create a quick-response support model for emergencies."

Background of the Disaster Relief Agreement

Kinarinowa specializes in operating food trucks, enhancing local food culture and providing meals during crises. Following the January 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, Shimizu and one of Kinarinowa's registered food trucks supplied over 1,000 warm meals to affected areas. This experience cemented their belief that mobile food trucks could offer essential assistance during disaster situations, leading them to sign the agreement with Yamato City on September 27.

Future Plans

Currently, Kinarinowa has registered around 150 food trucks primarily in Kanagawa, Tokyo, and Saitama. Their next goal is to use the collaboration with Yamato City as a model for establishing agreements with other municipalities and expanding disaster relief efforts. Moreover, they plan to organize food distribution workshops in schools and community events to bolster disaster preparedness through hands-on experience.
