Novo Nordisk Reveals Innovative Hemophilia Treatments at ISTH Congress 2026

Novo Nordisk Highlights Hemophilia Innovations at ISTH Congress 2026

Novo Nordisk is gearing up to make significant presentations at the upcoming International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Congress, scheduled for July 11-15, 2026, in Paris. This year's congress will spotlight the latest findings from their hemophilia portfolio, particularly focusing on the investigational product denecimig (Mim8), which is designed to enhance treatment options for individuals living with hemophilia.

Research data will encompass multiple facets of the FRONTIER4 study, pivotal in assessing the long-term efficacy and safety of denecimig across various age brackets and dosing regimens, which include once-monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly prophylaxis. These insights are crucial for tailoring treatment plans that meet the diverse needs of hemophilia patients, whether pediatric, adolescent, or adult.

Dr. Martin Holst Lange, the Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President for Research and Development at Novo Nordisk, expressed the company’s commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals with hemophilia. "Everyone's experience with hemophilia is different, and we have a deep responsibility to meet the real-world needs of the community. For more than 45 years, we have listened to the lived experiences of patients and continue to advance scientific innovation to improve care," Lange stated.

In addition to denecimig, the congress will also mark the first presentation of explorer10 data, which evaluates the effectiveness and safety of concizumab (Alhemo®) in children aged under 11 who have hemophilia A or B with inhibitors. This investigational therapy is not yet approved for use in this population, but the upcoming findings will provide critical insights into its potential applications.

Comprehensive Research Findings

The various presentations planned for ISTH will include:
1. Oral Presentation: Denecimig prophylaxis in adults and adolescents with hemophilia A, detailing interim results from the FRONTIER4 study.
2. Oral Presentation: Analysis of denecimig prophylaxis specifically focused on children with hemophilia A.
3. Poster Presentation: Insights on patient-reported outcomes from the long-term extension study of denecimig.
4. Poster Presentation: Examination of how denecimig restores thrombin generation in hemophilia A patients.
5. Poster Presentation: Effects of denecimig on thrombin generation under different clotting conditions.
6. Poster Presentation: A multinational study examining denecimig’s efficacy in acquired hemophilia A.
7. Oral Presentation: Concizumab prophylaxis data from children who have hemophilia A/B with inhibitors in the explorer10 study.

These presentations not only emphasize the depth of Novo Nordisk's commitment to improving hemophilia care but also highlight significant advancements in their treatment offerings that promise to enhance patient outcomes. Data gathered from these studies will serve as a foundation for ongoing research and development efforts aimed at better addressing the complexities of hemophilia and ensuring that both children and adults receive the most effective care possible.
