Smilegate to Participate in TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026
On September 13th, Smilegate announced its participation in the world-renowned gaming event, TOKYO GAME SHOW (TGS) 2026, set to take place from September 17th to 21st at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. This year marks the 30th anniversary of TGS, which will extend its duration for the first time — providing five days of gaming excitement.
For the second consecutive year, Smilegate will feature two exciting titles at the event:
MIRESI: The Unseen Future and
Dead Account: The Two Blue Flames. Notably,
Dead Account is making its first appearance to the public, stirring up considerable anticipation among attendees.
MIRESI: The Unseen Future
MIRESI is a collection-based RPG developed by CONTROL9 and is set to be serviced by Smilegate. The game gains additional attention with the participation of renowned art director Kim Hyun-seop (Hyulla), who has garnered a large following in both domestic and international markets. Following its initial reveal at last year's TGS and engagements at AGF and Anime Expo 2026, the game has evolved significantly based on feedback and interactions with fans worldwide. At TGS 2026, MIRESI aims to impress with an improved gameplay experience, reflecting its development journey thus far.
Dead Account: The Two Blue Flames
Dead Account is based on the comic series of the same name by Shizuka Watanabe, which has been serialized since 2023. This character collection and development-driven team rogue-lite game captures the essence of its original narrative, where protagonist Aoi Enjo faces off against spirits from deceased users' social media accounts. Set to be released on both mobile and the STOVE platform for PC, the game is currently open for pre-registration.
Partner Creators and Ticket Giveaway
Both MIRESI and Dead Account are actively seeking partner creators to join their community. Starting from August 14, applications for the partner creators of
Dead Account will be accepted, coinciding with a special event offering a chance for 30 winners to obtain entry tickets for TGS 2026 via a drawing through Twitter/X. In the case of MIRESI, the search for partner creators began on June 25 and has successfully attracted over 200 talented individuals. As part of the TGS promotional activities, MIRESI is currently hosting an event on its official Twitter, running until August 15, offering a chance to win TGS tickets and Amazon gift cards by following and sharing specific posts.
Upcoming Announcements
To commemorate its participation, Smilegate launched a dedicated site for TGS 2026 on the 13th. The site will gradually unveil detailed information regarding event schedules, stage programs, and much more leading up to the event.
