ICP DAS-BMP Unveils Cutting-Edge TPU Materials for Ureteral Stents at CMEF 2025

Exceptional Performance in Ureteral Stents

In the world of medical technology, advancements in materials can lead to significant improvements in patient care and device efficacy. Recently, ICP DAS-BMP (Biomedical Polymers), a Taiwanese manufacturer specializing in medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), announced its participation in the upcoming CMEF (China Medical Equipment Fair) 2025, scheduled for April 8-11 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. This event serves as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge innovations in medical equipment.

ICP DAS-BMP is set to spotlight two standout products at the fair: the ARP-93A-B20 WHITE L and ARP-95A-B20 WHITE L, specifically designed for ureteral stents. These TPU materials exceed ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards, ensuring they are safe for implantation. They provide remarkable stability during the thermosetting process and eliminate migration issues, thus maintaining product reliability. Furthermore, they are available in 15 different colors commonly used in medical devices, allowing manufacturers more flexibility in design options.

Beyond these flagship products, ICP DAS-BMP will showcase a series of innovative TPU solutions. Their Arothane™ ARP-W-G series, which contains 40% to 60% tungsten, offers excellent radiopacity for thin-walled medical devices, ensuring that doctors can accurately navigate and visualize the devices during procedures. Additional products like Arothane™ ARP-B20 and Durathane™ ALC-B40, enhanced with barium sulfate, provide certified safety for long-term implantations, a critical requirement in many medical situations.

Recognizing the diverse needs within the medical sector, ICP DAS-BMP is also focusing on a broader range of TPU materials, both softer and harder. The TPU Engineering Arothane™ series (EARP) features a hardness of over 70D, a high glass transition temperature, and excellent light transmission, making it ideal for high-strength applications like Luer-Lock connectors. Conversely, the softer ARP series, which has a hardness below 70A, offers increased flexibility and adaptability for various medical applications, thus expanding the range of TPU products available through ICP DAS-BMP.

Attendees at CMEF 2025 are invited to visit ICP DAS-BMP at Booth M49 in Pavilion 8.1 to explore these new developments and discover custom TPU solutions tailored to enhance healthcare innovations.
