On March 14th, 2026, Tsukuba City will host a vibrant, community-focused event called the 'Kirei Kirei Great Mission x Sport GOMI Competition' from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This intriguing initiative, co-hosted by Hoosiers Living Service Co., Ltd. and the Tsukuba City Clean City Promotion Committee, encourages both teamwork and environmental stewardship.

Event Overview


Participants will divide into teams of 3 to 5 members, starting at Tsukuba Center Plaza, where they will be given a specific area to collect litter. The competition features the innovative sport of Sport GOMI, where teams will be scored based on the amount and types of waste they gather during the event. After an hour of exciting collaboration, teams will reconvene at Takezono West Park to tally their points and determine the winners.

This event not only aims to beautify the city but also promotes teamwork and friendly competition among residents. Participants will have the chance to win prizes, with all entrants receiving a participation gift. For those interested, volunteer certificates will also be available, emphasizing the community's commitment to cleaner living spaces.
