Celebrating a Decade of UN GRAIN with Special Events and Treats

A Delicious Decade: UN GRAIN's 10th Anniversary Celebration

As UN GRAIN, a specialized shop for mini desserts operated by Yoku Moku Co., Ltd., approaches its tenth anniversary on November 19, 2023, it has curated an exciting line-up of celebratory events themed around the phrase "A Seed of Creation Connects Us." The celebration will run from July to November and is dedicated to honoring those who contributed to UN GRAIN's journey, especially the talented chefs who have been part of its history.

Celebrating Through Collaboration

The anniversary festivities began with the first event featuring collaborations with former patissiers who once worked at UN GRAIN. Now, the brand is eager to present details for the upcoming second to fourth phases of its anniversary celebration, which promise an extraordinary blend of nostalgia and culinary ingenuity.

Phase Two: Participation in the ufu. Festa

UN GRAIN will participate in the ufu. Festa for the first time on October 19 at Rikkyo University in Ikebukuro. This event will feature a special "Legend Booth," where UN GRAIN will team up with four past chefs who have made a mark in the world of patisserie. Together, they will unveil unique mini desserts that embody the artistry and flavor that UN GRAIN is known for. Attendees can enjoy an exclusive one-day collaboration that reflects the brand's legacy over the past decade.

Featured Products:

  • - Eat-in Collaboration Mini Desserts Set: A creative mix of five different cakes.
  • - Take-out Collaboration Mini Desserts Set: A selection of six exquisite baked goods.

Phase Three: Revival of Classic Mini Desserts

From October 20 to November 19, UN GRAIN will introduce a limited-time revival of four beloved mini desserts, voted by fans through Instagram Stories. This retrospective allows previous patrons to savor the flavors they loved while new customers can discover these treasures for the first time. This selection highlights the signature delicate tastes associated with UN GRAIN, showcasing the unique styles of former chefs:
  • - Banane - Caramelized banana with chocolate mousse (created by Chef Kanai)
  • - Casino - A French traditional cake with a kirsch cherry accent (created by Chef Kombu)
  • - Choux Enversee - Flavored traditional choux pastry in a UN GRAIN style (created by Chef Kombu)
  • - Tart Agrumes - Tart featuring seasonal citrus from Kochi (created by Chef Kanai)

Phase Four: Special Collaboration Parfaits

The final commemorative event will introduce exclusive parfaits developed in collaboration with the first two chefs of UN GRAIN: Chef Fumiyuki Kanai and Chef Tomonari Kombu, along with the current third-chef Takashi Okazawa. These parfaits, elaborately constructed to highlight various flavors and textures, will be available on select days from November 7 to November 16. Chefs will be on-site to engage with guests during specific dates, providing a personal touch to this decadent culinary experience.

An Ongoing Commitment to Quality and Creativity

Beyond the celebration, UN GRAIN remains committed to its core philosophy of nurturing the seeds of quality ingredients and culinary creativity. Each dessert crafted is a testament to the dedication of its past and present chefs, ensuring a delightful experience for customers. The establishment embodies the essence of mini desserts—offering not just sweets, but moments of joy and connection shared among family and friends.
