About the Exhibition

The exhibition aims to explore the five major mass extinction events that have occurred throughout Earth's history, often referred to as The Big Five. This exhibition, a first of its kind for the National Museum of Nature and Science, is backed by ten researchers specializing in various fields such as paleontology, volcanology, and ancient climates. They will unravel the mysteries around the causes and consequences of these extinctions through fossils, rocks, and other evidence.

By charting the evolutionary history of life that has survived these cataclysmic events, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of earth's biological resilience and adaptability.
