PNK Group Completes New Industrial Building Near Atlanta with Advanced Features

PNK Group’s New Industrial Building Near Atlanta

PNK Group, a leading developer of next-generation industrial buildings, has achieved a significant milestone by completing a massive new facility in McDonough, Georgia, approximately 35 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta. This impressive structure, named PNK Lambert A, spans 1,219,826 square feet and is tailored for various uses, including manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.

Strategic Location and Benefits

The strategic location of the PNK Lambert A building places it within a crucial industrial hub. It is part of the PNK Park Southern Gateway industrial park, which boasts an array of well-established corporations, including Ecolab, Whirlpool, and The Home Depot. Being situated just two miles from Interstate 75 offers seamless connectivity, linking the Southeast to the Midwest and ensuring easy access to significant seaports, including Savannah in Georgia and Charleston in South Carolina.

The versatility of the PNK Lambert A facility makes it an attractive option for businesses looking to enhance their distribution capabilities in the rapidly growing Atlanta metropolitan area. The building’s design allows for expansion up to 1,532,000 square feet if future demand necessitates it, thus providing flexibility for various operational needs.

Cutting-Edge Design Features

One of the standout features of the PNK Lambert A building is its advanced structural design. The facility can accommodate an overhead crane with a lifting capacity of up to eight tons, making it ideal for businesses requiring heavy lifting capabilities. The building is constructed using self-stable prefab precast concrete columns integrated with a robust rebar-reinforced frame, ensuring superior structural integrity. With spacing of 50 feet by 56 feet for the columns, the layout promotes optimal space utilization for various industrial activities.

Moreover, the facility is designed to withstand significant loads, featuring reinforced concrete floors with an 8-inch slab thickness rated at 4000 psi, enhanced with steel prefab mesh. In addition, the roof is outfitted with a 60 mil, R-25 TPO membrane alongside an Internal Siphonic Roof Drain System, which effectively manages water drainage and prevents contamination or icing in areas used for truck court operations.

To further enhance functionality, the PNK Lambert A building encompasses state-of-the-art utility systems. The lighting setup offers 30-foot candles on 15-foot heights, equipped with motion sensors to optimize energy efficiency. The ventilation system, featuring MAU with three air changes and mechanical dampers, ensures a constant flow of fresh air, crucial for maintaining a productive work environment.

PNK Group’s Innovative Construction Methodology

PNK Group has established itself as an engineering and manufacturing pioneer in industrial construction by leveraging advanced methodologies. The construction process of the PNK Lambert A building utilized high-precision reinforced precast concrete structural frames produced at the company’s facilities in Pennsylvania and Georgia. This approach reduces human error and expedites project timelines, allowing for quicker completion compared to traditional methods.

With this new building, PNK Group continues to push boundaries within the industrial landscape, aiming to support growing sectors in manufacturing and logistics. As businesses increasingly look for modern solutions to meet their operational challenges, PNK Group remains at the forefront of providing innovative building solutions that cater to the evolving needs of industry players.
