In a significant advancement for renewable energy solutions, Sermatec has recently celebrated the successful commissioning of its energy storage projects in Jiyuan and Lankao, China. This venture, carried out in collaboration with Foxconn Industrial Internet, has successfully established two landmark energy storage facilities, marking a crucial step in enhancing commercial energy storage capabilities in Henan province.
The Projects at a Glance
The Jiyuan project boasts a capacity of 5.9MW/11.9MWh, while Lankao features a capacity of 7.8MW/15.63MWh. These installations represent the very first commercial energy storage projects of such scale in their respective regions and are designed to bridge the gap for extensive energy storage solutions necessary for commercial and industrial applications.
These pioneering projects are set to play a pivotal role in driving the transition to green energy not only across Henan but also throughout Central China, establishing benchmarks for future initiatives in the renewable sector.
Rapid Deployment and Integration
Sermatec’s quick project execution and integration capabilities have come to the forefront with these deployments. The Jiyuan installation was completed by April 20, 2025, and connected to the grid just five days later, showcasing the company’s efficient project management and technical expertise. Similarly, the Lankao facility was finished by May 31, 2025, and brought online on June 10, 2025.
