Tom Golisano's $225 Million Philanthropic Expansion for Children's Hospitals Nationwide

Tom Golisano's $225 Million Investment in Children's Hospitals

Philanthropist and entrepreneur Tom Golisano has announced a monumental $225 million investment directed towards six additional children's hospitals, significantly expanding the Golisano Children's Alliance network across the United States. This initiative not only enhances pediatric healthcare provision but also brings his total commitment to the Alliance to $753 million.

The Growing Children’s Alliance

The Golisano Children's Alliance was first established in October 2025, with a transformative commitment of $403 million towards pediatric healthcare. This new funding marks a critical step in reaching Mr. Golisano’s ambitious goal of uniting 40 hospitals nationwide dedicated to enhancing children's healthcare.

New Members of the Alliance

With this latest initiative, the following hospitals have officially joined the Golisano Children's Alliance, each receiving substantial investments:
  • - Children's Minnesota in Minneapolis - $35 million
  • - Dartmouth Health Children's in Lebanon, NH - $30 million
  • - Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in Wesley Chapel, FL - $40 million
  • - Renown Health in Reno, NV - $40 million
  • - Children's Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs, CO - $40 million
  • - Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN - $40 million

The inclusion of these hospitals elevates the total to 21 within the Alliance, marking a significant milestone in the effort to provide high-quality and accessible pediatric care across the nation.

A Collective Mission for Pediatric Care

The Golisano Children's Alliance is forged from a shared dedication to improving pediatric healthcare. Each new hospital is not just a member institution; they are vital contributors to a broader collaborative effort aimed at advancing innovation in healthcare delivery. As part of this network, hospitals will actively recognize the Golisano name in various aspects of their facilities, enhancing the visibility of this noble mission.

For instance, Children's Minnesota will rename its facility to the Children's Minnesota Golisano Campus, while Children's Hospital Colorado will adopt the title of Golisano Children's Hospital, Colorado Springs. This strategic naming not only honors the contributions of the Golisano Foundation but also fosters a united front in advocating for children's health across the nation.

Tom Golisano’s Vision

Mr. Golisano expressed his sentiments regarding this expansion, saying, "These six hospitals take the Golisano Children's Alliance west for the first time, which means so much to me. As a father and grandfather, I've seen firsthand what it means for a family to have a great children's hospital close to home in a difficult moment. My hope is that no family, no matter where they live or what they can afford, has to travel far or wonder if their child will get the best care available."

His vision stems from personal experiences and a commitment to ensure that families find quality pediatric care without the stress of distance or financial burden.

The Future of Golisano Children's Alliance

Looking ahead, Golisano is focused on building additional relationships with children's hospitals across the nation. He aims to further extend the Alliance's reach, planning to incorporate more hospital partnerships in the near future. Each new member hospital not only strengthens the network but also opens avenues for collaborative research, shared resources, and improved patient outcomes.
