This popular summer event, which has been a staple since its inception in 2023, allows kids to immerse themselves in real-life job experiences within various shops inside the commercial facility.

Program Highlights

The event is part of the Living with GRANDUO initiative, designed to connect with the local community and provide children with a unique learning environment to understand work and social structures.

Participants will receive a certificate badge and a 500 yen gift voucher after their experiences, promoting a sense of accomplishment and joy in contributing to the workforce. This year's program features a wide range of participating shops including cafes, apparel stores, bakeries, and even cosmetic and assessment experiences. To ensure inclusivity, a special Backstage Tour will be available for those who do not get selected for the main experiences, offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes of GRANDUO Tachikawa.

What to Expect

1. Diverse Experience Activities: Kids can choose from a variety of work experiences including roles at a chocolate specialty store, a bakery, an apparel shop, and even a comic toy shop. Each experience is designed to be interactive and educational, allowing participants to try their hand at tasks such as customer service, product preparation, and more.
- At Monloire, participants will handle cash registers and distribute samples.
- Experience the thrill of baking at Sesto or assisting customers at GAP Kids with wardrobe coordination.

2. Earning Rewards: Every child who successfully completes a task will receive a certificate badge and a 500 yen GRANDUO gift voucher as a reward for their efforts, thus further enhancing their sense of achievement and understanding of the value of work.

3. Exclusive Backstage Tour: For those who weren't fortunate enough to secure a spot in the main program, there will be an exciting opportunity for a Backstage Tour on August 15. This exclusive tour will take children behind the scenes of GRANDUO Tachikawa, revealing areas typically off-limits to the public and providing insights into the operations of the shopping center.
