Cochin Shipyard Limited Seeks Global Representatives for Ship Repair Projects

Cochin Shipyard Limited Expands Global Reach

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a leading enterprise under the Indian government, has announced an initiative to strengthen its international presence. On February 2, 2026, CSL opened a call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) from globally recognized companies, firms, or agencies to serve as territorial representatives. This strategy aims to enhance CSL’s services in ship repair, dry docking, and ship conversion across major global markets.

Strategic Initiative for Global Expansion

The initiative is a crucial part of CSL's long-term vision to expand its market footprint and offer top-notch ship repair services to its international clientele. The designated territorial representatives will play a pivotal role by leveraging local market data, promoting CSL’s ship repair capabilities, and facilitating commercial growth in their respective regions.

In the first phase, CSL is looking to appoint representatives in several key regions, including:
1. Nordic Countries - Norway, Sweden, and Finland
2. Western Europe - United Kingdom, Germany, and Denmark
3. Southern Europe - Greece and Cyprus
4. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE
5. Southeast Asia - Singapore and Malaysia
6. East Asia - Hong Kong and Vietnam
7. Northeast Asia - South Korea and Japan

Successful candidates will earn exclusive rights to promote CSL’s ship repair services within their allocated territories, subject to satisfactory performance and adherence to the terms and conditions outlined in their agreements.

Enhancing Global Operations

A spokesperson for CSL emphasized that this initiative aligns with the company's mission to bolster the global footprint of Cochin Shipyard, granting clients worldwide seamless access to CSL's expertise and services in ship repair and dry docking. The EoIs must be submitted no later than 3:00 PM IST on February 5, 2026.
