Machida City Collaboration Festival 2025: "Machicafe!"

The 19th Machida City Collaboration Festival, known as "Machicafe!", will take place from November 29 to December 7, 2025. This festival is one of the largest civic collaboration events in the city, organized by a committee composed of local NPOs, civic organizations, community groups, and volunteers. The main event kicks off on November 29 at the Machida City Hall from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, showcasing an impressive range of workshops, exhibitions, performances, and sales activities contributed by participating organizations.

Theme and Vision for 2025

The theme for this year is "Bridging the Future - Machicafe! × ○○ = ∞ (Infinity)". This theme is a continuation from the previous year, aiming to create a platform where all participants can bring their unique ideas represented by "○○" and collaborate, generating infinite possibilities for community development.

Festival Highlights

With participation from 154 organizations as of October 9, various engaging activities are planned, ensuring there’s something for everyone:

1. Opening Event with Exciting Talks and Performances
- Venue: City Hall, 3rd floor Council Chamber
- Schedule:
- 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM: "Life Lessons on the Go" by Machida Life Lesson Research Society midwife circle.
- 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM: Live concert by Machida Musical Entertainment Group.
Both sessions require prior reservation.

2. Main Stage Performances
- Venue: City Hall, 1st floor Stage
- Enjoy a vibrant mix of human beatboxing, freestyle basketball performances, and various other dynamic acts from talented local artists and groups.
- Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

3. Family Workshops and Games
- Participate in exciting hands-on activities like creating Christmas wreaths and small containers using everyday materials. A thrilling puzzle stamp rally and quizzes will also be available.
- Location: City Hall, 1st to 3rd floor booths
- Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

4. Special Commemorative Gift
- Visitors wearing the festival’s theme color, green, will receive a special gift while supplies last.
