D-Robotics Secures $400 Million in Series C Funding
D-Robotics, a prominent player in the robotics development sector, recently concluded a remarkable
$400 million Series C funding round. This strategic funding round has drawn investments from a renowned global internet company, along with contributions from top-tier investment institutions, as well as continued support from current shareholders. The infusion of capital is set to propel the company into
an exciting new phase of growth and innovation within the robotics industry.
The primary aim of this funding is to bolster the
Sunrise™ Chip portfolio across various levels of computing and to develop a comprehensive software platform that encompasses the entirety of the robotics development process. This initiative aims to create an integrated hardware-software ecosystem tailored for Artificial Intelligence robots, enabling a wide array of development scenarios ranging from established robotic categories to versatile humanoid robots.
In the first half of 2026, D-Robotics experienced impressive growth with revenue reportedly increasing several times year-over-year. The company has successfully achieved cumulative shipments of over
8 million units of the Sunrise™ series chips. Furthermore, its embodied AI sector has entered the mass production stage, highlighting a significant milestone for the company's hardware-software integrated AI infrastructure, which has undergone large-scale validation.
Notably, the
Sunrise™ S600, the latest embodied AI computing chip introduced in November 2025, has already garnered attention, being adopted by over
20 leading customers within six months of its launch. These customers represent various sectors such as humanoid robots, industrial wheeled robots, and flexible consumer electronics manufacturing. The majority of these partners are already engaged in mass production, showcasing the growing demand for embodied AI solutions.
D-Robotics has also launched the upgraded
D-Robotics Gravity Program (DGP), offering comprehensive end-to-end support for robotics innovators. This support extends from product development to supply chain selection, go-to-market strategies, and fundraising roadshows. To date, the program has successfully backed over
500 robotics innovators across ten pioneering categories, including open-source humanoids, AI sports coaching, and home companion robots. Many products supported by this initiative have achieved breakout successes and are now shipping at scale.
Today, the impact of D-Robotics extends to
over 500 universities globally, with more than
100,000 developers across
20 countries creating a vast range of intelligent robots based on its platform. These innovative systems are now serving millions of users worldwide, underscoring D-Robotics’ significant role in shaping the future of robotics technology.
