Additionally, a variety of smart systems, such as remote-controlled tower cranes and robots designed for firefighting, dam inspection, and humanoid applications, were unveiled. These innovations reflect Zoomlion's dedication to embracing digital, intelligent, and eco-friendly technologies, which the company views as central to its forthcoming phase of innovation.
Zhan Chunxin, the chairman and CEO, expressed, "The new products, systems, and technologies we showcase are truly inspiring. In the age of AI, we need to fully leverage this technology as an essential tool to energize our business sectors, products, and management, accelerating Zoomlion's transition into a technology-driven, value-creating company." This evolution is already evident, with digital, intelligent, and green products accounting for 74.5% of Zoomlion's total product sales in 2025.
Consistently investing about 8% of its annual revenue in R&D, Zoomlion aims to overcome long-standing technical challenges. Zhan emphasized the importance of maintaining this commitment moving forward. He also announced plans to enhance international R&D efforts, assigning engineers to conduct development work tailored to local specifics and ensuring product certification for various regional markets. The company reported an international revenue of 30.5 billion yuan (approximately 4.4 billion USD) in 2025, representing around 59% of its total revenue.
The conference also awarded 84 scientific and technological achievements, with prizes going to Zoomlion staff in categories such as 'products', 'engineering', 'digital technologies', and 'green technologies', totaling 22 million yuan (about 3.3 million USD). The Future Value Award was presented to ZValley, Zoomlion's industrial technology division, for its development of a 1.3-meter bipedal humanoid robot. Two new awards were also created to honor promising early-career researchers.
Held at Zoomlion's global headquarters and Smart City research center, the event highlighted the company's Smart City excavating machinery park, recognized as one of China's leading smart factories at the 2025 World Smart Manufacturing Conference. This recognition underscored Zoomlion's commitment to innovation and its role as a leader in the heavy industry sector, promoting sustainable practices in its operations.
