Exciting Launch of the First Riyadh Active Industry and Muscle Show in Saudi Arabia
The First Edition of Riyadh Active Industry and Muscle Show
In the bustling heart of Saudi Arabia, the inaugural Riyadh Active Industry, Riyadh Muscle Show, and Riyadh Active Exhibition marked a significant chapter in the kingdom’s fitness and wellness scene. Organized by IEG Arabia, a segment of the prominent Italian Exhibition Group, this multi-faceted event drew in an impressive crowd of over 10,000 attendees spanning fitness professionals, enthusiasts, buyers, and competitors over two action-packed days on February 8th and 9th, 2025.
The event was a celebration of fitness, hosting a pre-opening that welcomed 120 leaders from the sports and wellness sectors, including notable guests such as Naif Aldossary, a consultant at the Saudi Ministry of Sport. The participation of Basim K. Ibrahim, the Director of Sport at the Ministry of Investment, underscored the government's commitment to promoting a healthier, fitness-oriented lifestyle among its citizens.
Francesco Santa, the Director of International Business Development at IEG, shared insights on the plans for the next edition, slated for February 2026. “We’re excited to expand this event from two to three days, with aspirations to double the visitor count and expand our exhibition area to 20,000 square meters,” said Santa. This ambitious expansion will occur at the ROSHN Front with support from the Saudi Ministry of Sport and additional partners.
The first Riyadh Active Industry featured the involvement of numerous industry leaders and distributors, including renowned brands like Panatta, Wellness First, and Matrix. The event showcased engaging segments such as industry talks, the Women in Fitness Forum, and the Kingdom Roundtable, each drawing hundreds of participants eager to connect and network.
A highlight of the event was the Riyadh Muscle Show, run in collaboration with the Saudi Bodybuilding Federation and under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. This prestigious platform welcomed around 300 competitors who showcased their strength and skills during the Kingdom Championships, the most prestigious bodybuilding competition in Saudi Arabia. The electric atmosphere was enhanced by exhibitors like Applied Nutrition, Dr Nutrition, and C4, all contributing to the unique Muscle Show experience.
Participants and attendees at the Riyadh Active segment were captivated by the presence of fitness personalities, including well-known figures like Heba Ali and Hana Basrawi. This segment saw significant participation from brands such as Grenade, Lululemon, and Les Mills, reflecting the thriving fitness community present at the event.
The success of this inaugural gathering indicates a thriving future for wellness and fitness events in Saudi Arabia, as it not only promotes physical activity but also fosters a sense of community among health enthusiasts and professionals alike.
