What is the M2O Race?

The M2O race is part of the three-part competition series known as the KOA KAI Triple Crown, which includes the Paddle Imua, Molokai to Maui (M2M), and the Molokai to Oahu (M2O) races. This prestigious series takes place annually in Hawaii and is recognized as one of the premier ocean sports events where competitors face the immense challenge of crossing the Kaiwi Channel—a stretch known for its unpredictable winds and strong currents.

Born in 2012, Ryu has already shown impressive prowess in various marine sports, including Stand Up Paddleboarding, foiling, and shortboarding.
