Co-op Kinki and Linough Launch Smart Delivery Service for Members

Co-op Kinki and Linough: Revolutionizing Delivery Services

Co-op Kinki, an alliance of regional consumer cooperatives based in Osaka, has announced a partnership with Linough Inc., a technology leader based in Bunkyo, Tokyo. This collaboration aims to introduce the innovative "Smart Delivery" service to its four member cooperatives: Kyoto Consumer Cooperative, Osaka Yodogawa Citizen Cooperative, Osaka Parco-op, and Osaka Izumi Citizen Cooperative. The implementation of this service is expected to be completed by August 1, 2025, targeting around 2,000 auto-lock apartment complexes.

Enhanced Convenience for Members

The initiation of the Smart Delivery service is a significant step toward improving the living conditions for residents in auto-lock apartments. With this new service, Co-op Kinki can now provide delivery directly to the entrance of each apartment unit, thus eliminating the previous challenges faced by cooperative members residing in auto-lock buildings. The residents often encountered issues when deliveries were attempted during their absence, resulting in failed deliveries and the need for redelivery trips.

In response to these challenges, Co-op Kinki has taken the initiative to enhance the delivery experience, ensuring that members can efficiently receive their purchases without the hassle of missed deliveries. This new offering not only promises convenience but also aims to cater to the growing demand for reliable delivery services among cooperative members.

The Smart Delivery Solution

At the heart of this innovative solution is Linough's "Smart Delivery" service, which utilizes the advanced smart lock system known as NinjaEntrance. This technology digitizes the access controls for shared entrances of auto-lock apartments. Authorized delivery personnel can unlock the building's main entrance, granting them access to specified delivery locations as pre-designated by the residents.

All unlocking activities are meticulously recorded, providing an added layer of security and peace of mind for residents, who can track delivery history. The implementation of this service is designed to incur no additional costs for property management companies, owners, or management associations, making it an appealing option for a broad range of stakeholders.

As of August 2025, this service will have been rolled out to over 16,000 locations nationwide, revolutionizing the way deliveries are conducted in secured residential environments.

Future Expansion Plans

Co-op Kinki is not stopping here; plans to expand the number of buildings included in the Smart Delivery initiative throughout the Kansai area are already underway. The cooperative is also set on increasing its partnerships with more cooperatives, further extending this revolutionary method of delivery across the region. This reflects a strong commitment to enhancing service quality and operational efficiency in supporting cooperative members.
