This summer dessert invites guests to indulge in a delightful array of seasonal fruits such as peaches, melons, figs, cherries, and watermelon. Each ingredient is chosen not only for its flavor but also its vibrant colors, enhancing the visual appeal of the dish. The Wasai combines the tartness of Haskap berries, a superfood native to Hokkaido, with Okinawa's purple sweet potatoes, Kyushu's Kabosu citrus, and blueberries from Shinshu and Tohoku regions. This harmonious blend of flavors is complemented by Japanese barley cereals, 12-grain puffs, and organic black sesame seeds, providing an exciting crunch.
