Mill Creek Residential Breaks Ground on Modera Weston Community Near Boston

Mill Creek Residential has announced the official groundbreaking of its latest luxury living project, Modera Weston, situated approximately 15 miles to the west of Boston. This exciting development is expected to bring a total of 172 beautifully designed homes, including spacious townhomes, to a charming neighborhood renowned for its scenic landscapes and rich history. The planned community is set in a lush environment, surrounded by more than 60 acres of rolling terrain, which includes the restoration of two historic structures. With 14 acres designated specifically for community use, residents can anticipate moving in by the summer of 2026.

Doug Arsham, the senior managing director for development in Boston, expressed enthusiasm about the project’s potential impact on the area. "We've always had significant interest in delivering market-rate and affordable housing to a well-established suburb like Weston," he noted. He highlighted Weston as one of the most sought-after communities in the Greater Boston region, emphasizing that Modera Weston is one of the few multifamily projects currently under construction there, owing to high barriers for new developments.

The development’s favorable location at 751 Boston Post Road is another key feature, easily accessible via Interstate 90 and Massachusetts Turnpike, as well as Route 128/I-95. The presence of two commuter rail stations within a three-mile radius will also facilitate connections to Boston's vibrant entertainment hubs and major employment centers, home to numerous technology, pharmaceutical, and financial companies.

Anand Boscha, vice president of development in Boston for Mill Creek Residential, expressed great anticipation for the community’s launch. "With its prime location, spacious homes, and thoughtfully designed amenities, we believe Modera Weston will provide residents with an exceptional living experience that seamlessly integrates with the town's natural beauty and historical ambiance," he remarked.

The Modera Weston community is designed to offer a variety of home sizes including one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, with an average size of 1,318 square feet. The amenities are designed to elevate the residents’ lifestyle, featuring an outdoor resort-style swimming pool, grilling area, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, dining area, a welcoming resident clubhouse, game room, sports simulator, conference room, co-working space, private workstations, pet spa, and a 24-hour fitness studio equipped with high-quality cardio machines.

In keeping with modern living standards, the community will also incorporate two renovated historic buildings that will house the leasing office, work-from-home spaces, and a guest suite for visitors.

Inside the homes, residents can expect luxury finishes such as 10-foot ceilings, gas fireplaces, wood-style plank flooring, stylish quartz countertops, high-end stainless steel appliances, elegant tile backsplashes, and spacious kitchen islands. Other features include smart home capabilities with thermostats, key fob access for enhanced security, and in-unit washers and dryers. Primary bathrooms will showcase double vanities, soaking tubs, and contemporary tile shower surrounds.

Ultimately, the entire community aims to be built to the NGBS Silver certification standards, reflecting a commitment to sustainable and high-quality construction practices. This project marks yet another chapter in Mill Creek Residential's ongoing mission to develop elegant rental housing solutions across the United States. The company is committed to enhancing local communities with stylish and affordable living options while respecting the historical context and charm of the areas in which they operate. As of December 31, 2024, Mill Creek's portfolio includes 146 communities that offer almost 42,000 rental homes. For more details on Mill Creek Residential, visit MillCreekPlaces.com.
