Kia Showcases the Future of Mobility at the Iconic Kia Forum in Los Angeles
Kia America is making a bold statement about the future, launching the Kia Connected Home™ at the legendary Kia Forum in Los Angeles, a hub of entertainment and culture. From July 28 to January 29, this installation invites guests to experience how Kia is redefining everyday living using innovative electric vehicle technology.
The Kia Connected Home™ demonstrates the capabilities of the all-new EV9, Kia's flagship electric vehicle (EV), which boasts a remarkable vehicle-to-home (V2H) energy function. This cutting-edge technology allows energy transfer from the vehicle to residential spaces, ensuring that essential appliances remain operational during power outages or high energy demand periods.
Revolutionizing Everyday Living
Initially revealed at CES 2024, the Kia Connected Home™ embodies Kia's commitment to pioneering sustainable mobility and innovation. Developed according to Kia's 'Opposites United' design philosophy, the installation seamlessly merges advanced technological capabilities with thoughtful design. This collaboration strives to envision a future where EVs serve not only as modes of transportation but also as integral elements of daily life. Russell Wager, VP of Marketing for Kia America, emphasizes this new perspective, stating, "We see our vehicles not just as transportation, but as an extension of your home."
Since becoming the title sponsor of the Kia Forum in 2022, Kia has significantly strengthened its connection to the Los Angeles community. The introduction of the Kia Connected Home™ further illustrates Kia's broader strategic goal of reimagining the role of mobility in everyday living through sustainable and interconnected solutions.
Interactive Experience with the EV9 Simulator
Visitors to the Kia Connected Home™ also have the chance to engage with an interactive driving simulator featuring the EV9. This experience is inspired by Kia's award-winning Unplugged Ground initiative in Seoul. The simulator provides guests with a first-person perspective of driving the EV9, enhanced by responsive turntable technology that mimics diverse driving environments. Participants can access a range of Kia's advanced in-vehicle technologies, including Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2) and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 (RSPA-2). These features illustrate how Kia enhances driver convenience and safety in real-life applications, showcasing its commitment to cutting-edge automotive technology.
