According to Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, the city experienced 750 crashes related to red-light violations from 2019 to 2023, which includes seven fatalities. Automated enforcement has been proven to reduce this risk and will help change dangerous driving behaviors to help us work towards our goal of zero injuries and fatalities due to crashes.”

For instance, New York City has reported a 73% decline in daily red-light violations since the implementation of such cameras in 1994. In Arlington, Virginia, a study highlighted an 86% reduction in red-light violations.
